2024 Preseason Nets have started

Preseason nets are being held every Sunday until 7th April (no nets on 31st March) at John Hampden school from 4pm to 5pm.  New members always welcome so please contact us via the website and one of the captains will get back to you.

U11/10 and U16/15/14 nets are also held at John Hampden from 3pm to 4pm through to the 24th March with the U12/13 group doing separate sessions at Davenies school in Beaconsfield on Sunday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm.  Please do contact us if are interested in joining the junior section.

Ted Savage

Stuart would like to invite Narks members and friends to a celebration of the life of his dad Ted Savage at the Woodland Hall,Green Acres ceremonial park, Beaconsfield HP9 2XB, on Thursday 21st September 3pm ,followed by refreshments at Wooburn Pavilion . Please wear bright colours, family flowers only.If anyone is unable to attend the service you are still welcome to raise a glass in the cricket pavilion.

Junior end of season BBQ & awards - Friday 8th September

The junior awards and BBQ is on Friday 8th September with bar open from 6pm then BBQ from 6.30pm onwards with awards at 7pm.  All welcome to join us

Friday 30th June - 50 Club Draw

The second 50 Club Draw of the season will take place live at the Pavillion at 7pm. The winner scoops £200 with a £50 bonus if they are in attendance. Members welcome to enjoy the Ashes Evening Session followed by Lancashire vs Yorkshire on the big screen

Friday 26th May - South African Braai + 50 Club Draw

This Friday evening get down to Nark Park where Mick Quinn will be serving up a South African Braai. As usual the bar will be fully stocked and Surrey vs Kent in The Vitality Blast shown on the big screen. 

The first 50 Club Draw of the season will also take place live at the Pavillion at 7pm. The winner scoops £200 with a £50 bonus if they are in attendance.

Mini cricket starts 5 May

Our mini cricket sessions start on Friday 5th May for children in reception, year 1, year 2 and year 3 with girls in year 4 & 5 also welcome to join.  The reception and year 1 group run from 5.30pm to 6.15pm and the year 2, 3 & girls in year 4 & 5 group runs from 6.30 to 7.15pm.  The bar is open from 5.15 ish.

Junior coaching starts 23 April & mini cricket 5 May

Junior coaching at Wooburn for children in years 3 to 10 starts on Sunday 23 April from 10am to 12 noon.  Mini cricket will start on Friday 5 May for children in reception, Years 1, 2 & 3.  This season we will be introducing a girls section on Friday evenings.  For more details please email juniorcricket@wncc.co.uk

Double promotion for Wooburn

Both the 1st and 2nd team have been promoted this season with the 1st team having secured their promotion a couple of weeks ago and the 2nd team getting the 7 points required during their 17 run loss to Burnham 4's in the last game of the season.

6 aside Kwik cricket tournament July 17th - Winchmore Hill and Chenies are the winners

A record 24 teams entered the Wooburn kwik cricket tournament yesterday with 14 in the U10 competition and 10 in the U8 section. 

Winchmore Hill beat The Lee in the final of the U10 competition and Chenies defeated Beaconsfield in the U8 tournament.  52 matches were played with over 150 children participating in the tournament that was played in hot and sunny conditions with a gazebo's all around the park.

Mini Cricket starts Friday 6th May

Our mini cricket coaching sessions for girls and boys in school years reception, year 1, year 2 and year 3 is an ideal way for children to learn cricket in a fun environment. 

This season we are running 2 sessions with the reception and year 1 group from 5.30pm to 6.15pm and the year 2 and year 3 group from 6.30pm to 7.15pm.  Membership costs £50 and the coaching runs every week from 6th May to the 29th July but there is no coaching in half term week on June 3rd.  For the adults the pavilion bar is open for refreshments during coaching so why not come and spend summer Friday evenings with us?

WNCC loses four members in February 2021

It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of the following Narks members. Bill Watts-Life Member, Ralph Selleck-Player, Daphne Milsom-Match Secretary & Mary Harper-Life Members. Our condolences go out to all their family and friends. RIP gone but not forgotten
