Membership

We are always pleased to hear from potential new playing members, of all ages and abilities. The club runs two senior teams on Saturdays, and one, often two, friendly teams on Sundays with plenty of opportunity for new players.

We are fortunate in being a club with excellent bar and fundraising income, and relatively modest costs, and are therefore able to maintain annual subscriptions (and match fees) at a very affordable level.

Annual Senior playing subscriptions for the current season are £120, with the opportunity for a refund on part or all of the subscription for those who help regularly with coaching, bar duty, or pitch/outfield preparation.

As an incentive for new members, we’ll throw in a club playing shirt once your first year’s playing subscription is paid.

For just £20 a year, social members enjoy all the off-field benefits of club membership - our lovely surroundings, a comfortably furnished clubhouse, Sky TV, the best bar prices around, and a busy social programme.

An added perk is the ability to tut disapprovingly whenever a Wooburn wicket falls.

We are a club rooted in our community, and on a sunny Friday evening, when mini cricket is on, we are literally at the centre of village life.

We are always in the look-out for volunteers, whether as umpires, scorers, assistant coaches, bar staff or barbecue chefs.

Don’t assume we have it all covered - all our volunteers will say we always need more help! If in doubt who to ask, talking to whoever is behind the bar is usually a good place to start….

1. Subscriptions can be paid annually in advance, or by setting up monthly standing orders, spreading the cost equally over 12 months.
