On Sunday, Wooburn were given a boost by another centurion, Alan Cuthbert, as they had the better of a draw against Buckingham.
Wooburn batted first on another good track at home, and Alan Cuthbert and Chris Sullivan (21) put on 51 for the first wicket. Paul Cooper (43) then helped Cuthbert add 114 for the second wicket, before Stuart Savage shared in a stand of 45. The opener was the dominant partner before he was dismissed for 129 with the score on 226. The declaration came at 228-5.
Buckingham went for the runs, with Mark James (43) and Tom Templeton (53) batting well. Steve Beck followed his useful bowling, which brought him figures of 3-63, with a hard hit 29, and at the close the visitors reached 197-7. Jeff Morris (3-58) and Paul Cuthbert (2-44) were the main wicket takers.
