Phil Day took 4-17 to help Wooburn Narkovians to a conclusive win over I.C.I. Paints in the Chiltern League on Saturday.

Wooburn put the visitors in on a pitch that was conducive to seam bowling, and I.C.I. were soon in trouble. Ian Rance fell with only eight on the board, and Karl Turner went on to dismiss both openers. Webb (30) and Adams (20) developed a good partnership, but this was broken when a misunderstanding resulted in Webb\s run out.

None of the middle and late order were able to make a contribution, and I.C.I. were shot out for 93 as Day bowled well. Phil Cuthbert (2-19) also had success.

In reply, Wooburn got off to a slow start as Bailey bowled his allotted 12 overs for just 14 runs. Opener Angus Porter fell with the score on 31, but Paul Cooper (33) and David Smith (46) steered their side to a deserved nine wicket victory.
