A superb unbeaten 140 by Amersham Hill batsman Reynolds meant that Wooburn Narkovians ended on the wrong side of a draw in their Chiltern League match, but they were lucky even to get that.
Reynolds inflicted damage on nearly all the Wooburn bowlers and helped his side reach a formidable 251-4. Only Harper (2-19) escaped punishment.
After Porter had fallen early on, Wooburn were given hope by Smith (31) and Morris (52), but wickets fell, Nigel Turner and Stuart Savage going cheaply. Bing attacked the bowling, but lacked support from the tail end, and it was left to Harper and Day to negotiate the last few overs and earn a draw.
