Batting first, Wooburn soon lost skipper Richard Garland. Gary Mayo and Nigel Turner steadied the ship, and then Rob Males grafted his way to 46. However, the remainder of the team seemed too susceptible to the accurate opposing attack, apart from a rousing 22 from Karl Turner.
Chasing 148 to win, the home side were cruising to their target at 114-2. But when Rashleigh was dismissed for a hard hit 44, his comrades appeared mesmerised by the spin bowling of Harry Pidgeon (5-62).
