BIG SCORES FOR FOSTER AND WAKE
A big opening partnership between Stuart Foster (92) and Tony Wake (59) put Wooburn Narkovians in the driving seat in their Prudential Chilterns League match against Chalfont St. Giles. Turner (28 not out) and Purkiss (20) helped the Narks reach 221-5.
In reply, Chalfont never approached the total. Robin Evans (5-29) worked through the early order. Sullivan (25) and Hardy (30) provided resistance, as did Tickner (18) before he fell to Shaw (2-30). Harry Pidgeon also took a couple of wickets, but the Chalfont last pair held out for a draw.
