WOOBURN HOLD ON
The 2nd XI just scraped a draw as the wickets tumbled rapidly against Barnes. Good knocks from the Barnes openers made sure that they would have a healthy total, but then wickets began to fall when Harry Pidgeon (6-50) got into his stride. Consistent bowling from him meant that Barnes had to declare at a reachable 204-8.
Wooburn\s openers started less impressively, but Mayo held firm against the onslaught from Cadzow (4-55) and went on to score a brilliant 93. Then it was Foulds\ turn, and he took a string of wickets (4-44) to leave Wooburn in desperate trouble, but they held on to close on 185-9.
