WOOBURN ROMP TO VICTORY
Wooburn romped to an 82-run victory over a weak Morris Motors team. On a slow wicket, Cuthbert and Cooper grafted to reach 40 in the opening hour before the first wicket fell. It wasn\t until David Rogers and youngster Steve Nower came together that the momentum increased, with Rogers (52) reached a well earned half-century in a stand of 66.
The visitors began cautiously and suffered an early setback when Rundle struck during an accurate opening spell. The middle order soon folded after the father and son partnership of Jason (3-16) and Harry (3-35) Pidgeon had been brought together. What little resistance the opposition had disappeared under the pressure.
