The 2nd XI strolled to a flawless victory over Amersham Hill in the Chilterns League. Amersham made a solid start before two priceless deliveries by Shaw accounted for both openers.
The middle order batted lethargically and were removed by Jason and Harry Pidgeon, who each took three wickets. Rapidly improving Waxman returned figures of 4-23 as the visitors were dismissed for 146.
Wooburn were rarely troubled in their reply. Cooper (68) and Wake set off briskly, accepting the offer of several full tosses and, when Wake was run out for 31, Lawless (34) joined Cooper at the crease to see their side home.
