TAPPIN NETS 10 WICKET HAUL
Nick Tappin picked up all 10 Littlewick Green wickets on Sunday to give Wooburn Narkovians a remarkable and memorable victory, and break a 32-year old club record in the process. The 15-year old schoolboy seamer took 10-28 to dismiss hosts Littlewick Green for just 101, chasing a modest 169 to win.
Wooburn won the toss and batted first on a green wicket at Littlewick, with the Rogers\ brothers opening partnership getting them away to a solid start. David Rogers went on to score 49, and the middle order chipped in with Tennant (16), Morris (34) and Curtis (26) pushing the Wooburn score up to 168-6 at tea. Tim Latham (2-26), Haque (2-11) and Hancock were the pick of the bowlers.
When Littlewick started their reply runs came easily for the first four overs, but then Tappin found his length and with some outstanding catching (notably from Lee Wiltshire who pouched two, and David Rogers) backing him up, ran through the card. The hosts were unable to prevent him from taking all 10, and they were wrapped up for 101, leaving Wooburn winners by 67 runs.
