Brilliant Kimber
A splendid piece of bowling by 16-year-old Marlow schoolboy, Anthony Kimber, gave Wooburn Narkovians 3rd XI an easy 60-run win over Gerrards Cross on Sunday.
Batting first, Wooburn scored 80 having recovered from 16-6 thanks to some good batting by Richard Sexton (25) and Tony Wootton (17).
In reply, Gerrards Cross were all out for 20. Kimber bowled unchanged for nine overs and took 8 wickets for only two runs. He twice took two wickets in an over, clean bowled six batsmen, taking out the middle stump on three occasions, and forced a seventh to trample on his own wicket. He also bowled seven maidens.
