All-rounders too good for Fencibles
Good all-round performances from Stuart Savage and Howard Kennedy helped Wooburn Narkovians to their third successive win in the Grasshopper Chiltern League.
Both men were in form with both bat and ball as the Narkovians got themselves out of a sticky situation at 111-6 to make 194-9 off 45 overs. Savage scored 41 while Kennedy, the Wycombe Wanderers footballer, made 47. Mayhew, with 6-60, caused the early troubles.
Fencibles made a steady start, but then both bowlers hit their peak with Savage taking 5-39 and Kennedy picking up 3-8 as Fencibles collapsed to 97 all out.
