Keeble and Males punish Richings
Despite good knocks by Dick Keeble (77) and Rob Males (55) which set them up for a score of 188-7, Wooburn Narkovians 2nd XI were frustrated in their attempts tp follow this up for victory as Richings Park hung on for a draw at 147-9.
This Chiltern League fixture saw Wooburn bat first, with Dick Harris (29) giving good early support to the efforts of Keeble, as they found runs easy to come by. Thomas (3-32) and Pepper (3-61) were the pick of the Richings Park bowlers.
The home side\s reply got off to a good start through Coulshed (39) and Hunter (22), but after that only Vett (37) showed any resistance to the bowling of Peterson (4-29) and Mayo (2-15). But the Wooburn attack just failed to winkle out the last wicket.
