Wooburn go so close
Wooburn Narkovians 2nd XI were close to winning when they took on Kimble in their final Chiltern League match, but had to settle for the draw when they fell seven runs short.
The Kimble innings was dominated by Cole (104) who hit a fine century. There were also good knocks from Saunders (20) and Purcell (30), with Kimble reaching 196-6 off their 45 overs.
Wooburn got off to a great start through openers Sherwin (37) and Harris (35) and, although Dave Larkin (57 not) and Gary Mayo (32) kept the momentum going, Wooburn could only reach 190-5.
