Wooburn were robbed of victory when Hayes\ last two batsmen held out to earn their side a draw.
Wooburn got off to a good start through Sherwin (32) and Harry Pidgeon (53), and with Mayo (56) also passing fifty, Wooburn were well placed when they declared on 175-8.
Hayes also began well but then lost wickets regularly to the bowling of Mayo (3-29) and Pidgeon (5-32). However, Beakhouse and Bridgman managed to survive and take Hayes to a draw at 126-9.
