Anthony sees Narks home
A collapse by the Hurst batsmen from 80-3 to 100 all out was the main cause of their nine-wicket defeat by Wooburn Narkovians on Sunday.
Hurst got off to a good start with 45 put on for the first wicket. However, the Wooburn attack of Alan Rogers (4-10), Phil Day (3-11) and Stuart Savage (3-42) reduced Hurst from 80-3 to 100 all out. N.Hawkins (27) and M.Boniface (30) were the highest Hurst scorers.
Wooburn reached the winning score for the loss of only one wicket. Geoff Anthony (47) and David Smith (26) put on 63 undefeated runs, with Derek Milsom contributing 19 before falling to Denness.
