Derek gives Narks better of the draw
A confident 85 from Derek Milsom enabled Wooburn Narkovians to have much the better of a draw in their Chiltern League match against Fencibles.
On a wicket of uneven bounce, Wooburn batted first with Milsom and Geoff Anthony (19) putting together a valuable first wicket partnership. Stuart Savage (31) joined Milsom later and their fourth wicket stand paved the way for Wooburn\s declaration at 172-7.
Fencibles were never in the hunt, and when rain removed 11 overs from their reply, their batsmen had to face just six more overs before finishing on 90-7. Opener Spanner (29) was their top scorer, with Alan Rogers (3-15) proving Wooburn\s most penetrative bowler.
