Wooburn\s bowlers were in good form on Sunday against Ealing, keeping a tight line and length to restrict scoring.
Although the wicket was quick and the outfield the fastest this season, Ealing ambled along and eventually made 140-7 off 57 overs, and this included an attractive late knock of 35 in 28 minutes by M.Taylor. Alan Rogers was the most successful bowler, taking 3-31 off 16 overs.
There were no real failures in the Wooburn response, and with Stuart Foster\s 44 and the later efforts of Paul Birdseye (22*) and Ray Bing (18), the home side saw themselves in before the rain became too heavy.
