On a wicket with little bounce, Stoke Green were quickly in trouble against an accurate attack, backed up by an excellent fielding display. Having reached a meagre 51-6, Martin Swadling (28) and Tony Boad (16) put on 50 for the seventh wicket to add respectability to the score of 108-9 off 45 overs.
Wooburn were never really in trouble when replying and comfortably won by six wickets with 10 overs to spare. Geoff Anthony (38) and Paul Birdseye (32*) were the main contributors as Wooburn reached 109-4.
