Wigley keeps Wooburn title hopes alive
Superb bowling by Dave Wigley (6-33 off 16 overs) set Wooburn Narkovians on the way to an easy eight wicket win against Denham, to maintain their challenge for the Chiltern League title.
Wigley bowled unchanged to help rout Denham for just 79, with the aid of Stuart Savage (2-32) and Alan Rogers (1-11). Only Dave Bond (46), who made a classy contribution, showed the ability to cope on a wicket with some lift.
Wooburn replied with 81-2 after Geoff Anthony (30) had made an enterprising start, and then Paul Birdseye (25*) finished the job with 37 overs to spare.
