Fencibles hang on after quick 94
Geoff Anthony and Ray Bing added a whirlwind stand of 94 in 51 minutes as Wooburn Narkovians just failed to pick up maximum batting points in the Chiltern League match with Fencibles.
Anthony (56) and Bing (78) were the top scorers as Wooburn reached 199-8 from their overs allocation.
Fencibles made a magnificent start to their reply with the openers adding 90 in 17 overs for the first wicket. But the introduction of Alan Rogers put a brake on the scoring and Fencibles finished an exciting match at 188-8.
