Wooburn tumble to league leaders
On a good wicket with a fast outfield, Wooburn failed to score enough runs against a strong Richings Park team in a top-of-the-table Chiltern League match.
After their allotted 45 overs they had reached 155-7 thanks to useful contributions from Geoff Anthony (29), Ray Bing (40) and Pete Harper (31*).
Richings Park were always ahead of the clock and reached their target with nine overs to spare. Ian Scott, with an excellent 51 not out, and John Riches (33) were the backbone of Park\s 156-4 which strengthened their position at the top of the table.
