Savage checks Chenies with 5-16 haul
A fine spell of bowling by Stuart Savage (5-16), well supported by good fielding and catching, helped Wooburn Narkovians restrict Chenies and Latimer to 133-9 in their Chiltern League match on Saturday.
Then a third wicket stand of 71 between David Smith (50) and Ray Bing (36) eased Wooburn to 134-5 and a comfortable five wicket victory.
Chenies & Latimer started well, but Savage\s 13 over spell ripped out the middle batting and they were rescued only by a ninth wicket stand between Sabatini (26 not) and Miller (22 not).
Wooburn then recovered from a poor start with Smith and Bing\s partnership.
