Match Report

Batting first on a difficult wicket, Wooburn\s batsmen showed the necessary application with Derek Milsom (42) and Dick Harris (74) putting on a half-century second wicket stand. Harris and Paul Birdseye (55*) then added 95 for the third wicket.

Wooburn declared at 185-4 and immediately had Burnham in trouble. Although Bell (21) and Evans (29) rallied things with a third wicket partnership, once they had been removed, Smith (6-37) aided by good catching ran through the rest of the side to leave Burnham 92 runs short of the target at 93 all out.
