James Frank White hit a chanceless personal best 134 not out as Wooburn romped to an 8 wicket victory over White Waltham.
After losing the toss and put into field on a very hot afternoon, Mark Tenant and Smally saw themselves being hit around the small ground by the impressive left hander Pugh. James White and Rob Rogers soon came on and Pugh continued in the same vein strking the ball beautifully to all corners. James had Beard caught in the slips by Rogers and three LBW\s followed to restrict White Waltham. Robbie took the crucial wicket of Pugh who scored 92 and youngsters Jack O\Donnell and and James Crump bowled well with Crump picking up a well deserved wicket. Chris Silvertown took a fantastic catch in the deep to give Dan Jones the first of his 2 wickets in one over as White Waltham finished on 224-8.
Graham Dare and James White began well, with Graham particularly impressive cutting the ball to the boundary. With the spinners soon on, Graham tried to sweep but got a top edge and was caught and bowled for 26. Smally joined James who was hitting boundaries for fun and started in the same fashion hitting 3 fours in his first 4 balls faced. Smally tried a comical reverse sweep and was out LBW for 23. Mark Tenant then joined James and both left handers were severe on anything short or with any width as Wooburn raced to 225-2 with 10 overs remaining.
