Bore Draw at Bagshot

Wooburn Narkovians 1st X1 opened their league campaign with a winning draw away at Bagshot. 



After losing the toss Dave Rogers and Ian Cuthbert got Wooburn off to a steady start before Dave drove in the air to mid off.  Ian continued to hit the ball cleanly while James White struggled to time the ball on the slow wicket. 



With the scoring rate needing to be increased James started timing the ball and Ian was bowled for an excellent 72.  Richie Barker joined James and they added 70 runs in the last 9 overs to finish on 226-2.



Our new Aussie Sam Cuthbert took a great catch at 3rd slip to give James White an early wicket.  Mark Tennant struggled to find his usual consistency while Smally came on and got one to lift to have Balcombe caught behind.  Two further quick wickets fell when Smally had Burridge bowled and Atkinson lbw.  However, Whitelock then joined Hollely and the pair both hit 50\s as the game petered out into a draw with Bagshot finishing on 179-5.
