INDECISION PROVES COSTLY
Wooburn Narkovians again succumbed to their own indecision on Saturday as they went down to a seven wicket defeat by Thatcham.
Wooburn perished to a comedy of errors with Cuthbert and Lawless going early, and their acceleration proved akin to a Morris Minor. Highlights of their 153-9 were Paul Cooper\s six, a crashing four from Tim Waxman and 40 from Jeff Morris.
Struggling to defend their meagre 153-9, the openers looked ineffectual, and with catches going down, Thatcham took control, hitting 157-3. A solid 72 from Ettridge swung the game, while the afternoon brought an historic moment when Waxman was hit for the biggest six ever seen at Wooburn.
