Final day win secures Wooburn the league title
So captain Tennant, in his first season at the helm, leads Wooburn to promotion and the division 4B league title.
Incredible to think that his first stint as captain, which was over 10 years ago, lasted less that 4 hours and would have been shorter had Stokenchurch batted first!
On that day he resigned and handed over the reigns to his little brother following a ferocious 30 minute boundary fest by the Stokenchurch opening batsmen left him bruised, battered and traumatised by the experience.
But he has come back more experienced, thoughtful and game wise .. although it still takes 3 days to get an email reply from him!
