Hurst 2nd XI dominated their friendly with Wooburn Narkovians at Hurst on Sunday, but could not force a victory.
Fine batting by the top order set the home team on course, as Merv Boniface (41), Mike Sheldon (43) and Richard Hind (62) dominated the visitors\ attack. Andy Spink (26) also batted well as Hurst totalled 238-6.
Wooburn always struggled and fell well behind the clock. The Hurst bowlers threw the ball up, trying to buy wickets, but the game faded to a draw, with the visitors at 199-8.
