Match Report
A fourth wicket stand of 136 between Chris Sullivan and Phil Cuthbert was the highlight of Wooburn Narkovians 2nd XI\s draw against Old Meadonians on Saturday. The pair took just 65 minutes to compile the impressive stand, with Cuthbert finishing on 80 and Sullivan on 68 not out.
Rob Smith and Phil Lawless opened with 23 and 33 respectively, and Wooburn\s batting exploits enabled the home side to reach a total of 245-4 declared.
Glover fell early on in reply, but Bracegirdle (50) and Baker (47) combined to send the visitors to 104-1. That became 104-3, and Wooburn soon had Bracegirdle out too as Old Meads slipped to 128-4.
With the fall of the fourth wicket, the visitors opted for caution, and the game faded to a tame draw. Cuthbert followed up his fine innings with an impressive eleven over spell, which yielded 3-11 with four maidens.
