Wooburn batted first and got off to a fine start with an opening partnership of 69 between Paul Cooper and Ian Cuthbert. With the departure of Cooper for 21, Angus Porter joined Cuthbert in a stand of 67.
Cuthbert was dismissed for 74 with the score on 136. Porter followed 5 runs later. A further two wickets fell rapidly, but a stand of 27 between Jeff Morris and Karl Turner helped the score along. The Narks finally reached a creditable 195-9 from their allotted overs.
Wooburn appeared to be on their way to victory with the Wendover openers back in the pavilion with just 28 on the board in the tenth over. A fine stand of 152 between J.Atkins (55) and R.Shearer (98 not out) changed the course of the game, Wendover going on to win with six overs to spare.
