WOOBURN DESTROYED BY DALTON AND DORAN
A welcome change of fortune for the Old Paludians came on Sunday, as they recorded only their second win of the season against Wooburn Narkovians.
Once again the batsmen were in good form and failed by just one run to reach 200 for the third time this season. After some early shocks, Mark Dalton steadied the Old Pals\ innings and went on to score a well-played 60, taking the score past 100. Matt Doran carried on the good work and his aggressive 51, with good support from David Coleman (23), ensured a decent final total of 199 all out.
In reply, the visitors struggled from the start of their innings and were soon losing wickets, as they tried to cope with Doran\s opening burst, which earned him 5-37. With no stand worth more than 21 runs, the innings fell away and Wooburn were soon dismissed for just 91, with the Old Pals pleased with their day\s work and victory by 108 runs.
