An outstanding all-rounder\s disply by Steve Crompton was the highlight of Winchmore Hill 2nds draw with Wooburn Narks at Penn House Park.
Put in to bat, Winchmore Hill had a steady start with Tony Boughton (36) and Doug Nash (13) taking the score to 61-2. A tremendous knock of 48 not out by Crompton helped Winchmore to a good score of 166-9.
Only Phil Lawless, with a fine 55, held Wooburn together in their reply and Crompton beat most batsmen for speed with his return of 5-20 from his 12 overs. Wooburn just managed to hold out for a losing draw with their score at 108-9 after losing eight wickets for only 32 runs.
