Wooburn 2nd XI had a good win in their league fixture against Kimble, with googly bowler Harry Pidgeon taking 5-32. Kimble batted first and had trouble overcoming the tight Wooburn bowling. Steady batting by Parsons (59) ably assisted by Rose (22) helped Kimble reach 156, with Pidgeon bowling a fine 12 over spell, aided by the safe hand of Nigel Turner.
Stuart Foster and Phil Lawless got Wooburn off to a steady start. An excellent partnership between Paul Cuthbert (46) and Turner (44) then blitzed the bowling, putting on 90 in 10 overs to guide Wooburn to a comfortable victory with 10 overs to spare.
