EMPHATIC WIN FOR WOOBURN
Wooburn Narkovians recorded a convincing win over Lee \75 League side Bracknell on Sunday, winning by an emphatic 186 runs.
The Narks were given a great start by openers Cuthbert (49) and Porter (40), who rattled off 83 runs in under an hour. After a brief middle order hiccup, Morris (58) and Savage (64 not out) continued the onslaught, to record their first 50s of the new season and allow Wooburn to declare on 225-5.
Bracknell were never able to come to terms with the raw pace of Day (4-13) and the quick inswing of Waxman (5-16), and never looked likely to reach a decent total. The opening bowlers continued unchanged in a tight, aggressive spell, that saw Bracknell dismissed for a meagre 39.
