A century by opener Foster (108) set Wooburn on their way to a good total in their Chilterns League match on Saturday. He was finally bowled by Ferguson. Bing recorded an unbeaten half-century, and there was support from Wake (22), as Wooburn reached 191-2.
In reply, Kimble always struggled to keep up with the chase, and Brown, Rundle, Mayo and Pidgeon all enjoyed success as Wooburn took nine of the required wickets, only to fail at the final hurdle as Kimble dug their heels in.
