WHITE HOT JAMES IS THE WOOBURN STAR

Youngster hits fourth successive 50

Sixteen year-old James White was the Wooburn Narkovians 2nd XI star at the weekend, hitting 77 not out and 75 as his side cruised home against Langleybury and shared a high scoring draw with British Airways. Sunday\s effort was the youngster\s fourth successive innings in excess of 50, while his unbeaten score on Saturday helped Wooburn on to a formidable 206-6.

His classical innings formed the backbone of the Wooburn total, and the youngster received valuable support from skipper Mayo (29) and Wake (34).

In reply, Langleybury never got into their stride and Johnson struck three times in one and a half overs to cripple the early order, before spin twins Rogers (2-20) and Pidgeon (2-26) polished the visitors off.
