James White continued his remarkable form with the bat when Wooburn 2nd XI visited British Airways. The youngster hit 75 as Wooburn replied boldly to the Airways\ healthy 245-2 total, but the visitors eventually had to settle for a draw.



The Wooburn bowlers had a hard time as opener Bassett smashed an unbeaten 113, superbly supported by Swift (46), Haddad (36) and Smith (32 not out), and the visitors were always going to struggle to reach such a formidable total.



Their task was made even more difficult when both openers fell cheaply, but White and newcomer David Pidgeon (70) gave them an outside chance of victory. However, with Wooburn needing 36 runs from the final two overs, they finally gave up the chase and secured the draw with three wickets in hand.
