Wooburn 2nd XI beat their Barnes counterparts by seven wickets away from home. The Wooburn attack made an early breakthrough but were blunted by Thomas\ unbeaten century. It wasn\t until late in the innings that Harry Pidgeon (4-38) gained the rewards his accurate bowling deserved.
Wooburn faced the task of scoring 186 in rapid time and were given a good start as Pidgeon smashed 82 and Morriss made a predestrain, yet resolute, 53 not out. Between them, they crafted an opening stand of 102 and laid the foundations for victory, while Mayo (27) and Tennant (22 not out) helped see Wooburn comfortably home.
