All-rounder, James White, followed his third hundred of the season with three wickets to help the Sunday side to a morale-boosting victory over Uxbridge on Sunday.



Put in on a hard, slight two-paced pitch, Wooburn\s innings of 198-4 was based around White\s chanceless unbeaten 101. After Dave Rogers had gone early, he received good support from Alan Cuthbert (40) in a stand of 111 for the second wicket. Cuthbert\s dismissal was the first of three quick wickets, but Martin Tennant (19 not) then helped add 43 for the fifth wicket, White completing his century from the last ball of the innings.



Uxbridge started well against testing bowling from Richie Barker. Openers Crowe and Hendrie had added 46, before Crowe departed to a nonchalant one-handed catch by Steve Butcher at mid off. Hendrie went on to make 42 before he fell trying to force the pace, leaving Uxbridge up against it at 91-4. Asim (33) and Tinsley (20) then added 50 in quick time to put the home side right back in the game, but once Asim had gone, a flurry of wickets for White (3-31) and Barker (3-24) wrapped up the innings with Uxbridge still 33 runs short.
