Sherwin sets up rout of Boyne Hill
Set to make 150 by Wooburn Narkovians, Boyne Hill found the task too much and slumped to 51 all out to lose by 98 runs.
Sunday\s match at Boyn Grove attracted what little sunshine there was at the weekend and, batting first, Wooburn began steadily to accumulate their runs. Opener Ray Sherwin made 51, and was supported all through the innings as each batsman made a contribution.
Mike Page eventually accounted for Sherwin, and went on to take two other wickets to finish a tidy seven over spell with figures of 3-24, the most successful of Boyne Hill\s bowlers.
Number two batsman Paul Embling was out to the first ball he faced in reply and, with only minor pockets of resistance, the innings went from bad to worse. Extras proved the second highest scorer as both Wilkinson and Pidgeon claimed four wickets apiece.
