Wooburn 1st team continued their recent good form with two resounding wins at the weekend. On Saturday, despite the absence of several players through holidays and injury, Princes Risborough were despatched by 8 wickets.
The start of the show was David Smith, who rattled up 100 not out, ably supported by Derek Milsom with 41. But the nub of the game was Risborough\s failure to score sufficient runs, managing only 174-6 from their 47 overs.
Their failure to score more rapidly was due in large measure to fine efforts from Peter Brown and Phil Cuthbert, promoted from the 2nd XI to open the bowling.
