CUTHBERT CENTURY IS NOT ENOUGH
Ian Cuthbert\s brilliant unbeaten century was not enough to give Wooburn Narkovians victory against Burnham at Wooburn Park on Sunday. Cuthbert blasted 136 in a magnificent opening stand with Cooper (75). After Cooper was dismissed, Smith (60 not out) joined the star of the show in another tremendous unbroken stand, leaving the home side on 273-1.
Despite a fine opening partnership between Burden (48) and Addinell (42), Burnham were always behind the required rate. Although Morris (3-29) bowled well for Wooburn, the hosts were unable to bowl Burnham out.
The visitors finished with a flourish, with Turner batting superbly to finish unbeaten on 50 as Burnham sealed the draw.
