SUNDAY BEST BRINGS WIN
Dave Smith scored a magnificent 118 not out as Wooburn Narkovians eased to a 59 run victory at home to Barnes on Sunday. It was Smith\s highest ever score in senior cricket and helped his side onto 241-2.
Skipper Cooper (42) offered able support before falling to a brilliant one-handed catch by Brown. Ian Cuthbert (21) and Stuart Savage (40 not out) both contributed to Wooburn\s healthy total.
Barnes replied with aggression until Harraman was removed, caught and bowled by Turner. Day then removed Hall, while the bowling of Harper accounted for middle order as Barnes pushed for runs.
Cooper was then introduced into the attack, and his subtle spin accounted for the tail end and saw Wooburn home by 59 runs.
