On Sunday the Narks visited Aston Rowant and, in keeping with the Agatha Christie anniversary, produced a mysteriously below par performance.
After winning the toss Wooburn batted, and made slow progress against tight bowling and some negative fields. Cooper (68), Cuthbert (21) and Smith (42) were the main scorers. However, when the time came to charge, it appeared that the Wooburn batsmen had already reached their limit, and the side was left on 189-5.
After tea, Aston Rowant seized the advantage with some swashbuckling batting. Wooburn appeared unable to cope with the hard hitting and eventually succumbed to the pressure, as Morgans and Lambourne steered their side to a seven wicket victory.
