Wooburn travelled to Wycombe House on Saturday. Wooburn lost the toss, but were soon rewarded with the wicket of Dave, bowled by John White. The next wicket fell some two hours later, as young Taylor and Kapoor dominated the Wooburn attack.
Jason Pidgeon had Taylor (60) caught by Lawless, and a flamboyant Ponseka was removed by Wake, before Wycombe House declared with Kapoor 109 not out.
After the early loss of Garland, Wooburn looked to be in a position to win the game, until Wake left a straight ball and had his off stump removed. Lawless then gave Stacey the charge, only to be bowled.
Even at 93-4 with 25 overs to go, Wooburn looked well placed. But the tumbled to the bowling of Ponseka, who took 6-26 from just six overs.
